A woman is riding between the railway carriages of a local train heading north from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Her luggage is tucked under the carriage in front of her. It is the month of Ramadan, a fast which culminates in Eid-ul-Fitr, a three-day celebration. Tens of thousands of people leave the city to go to their home village and celebrate with their families. Trains are packed and many who fail to get tickets before they sell out or can’t afford buying them at the black market ride on the roof of the train or, like this woman, find a quiet spot between the carriages.

"I’m always sad.""Are there certain thoughts associated with the sadness?""No, the sadness is under the thoughts. It’s like when you’re on a camping trip, and it’s really cold, and you put on extra socks, and an extra sweater, but you still can’t get warm, because the coldness is in your bones.""Do you hope to get away from it?""Not anymore. I just hope to come to peace with it."

that analogy is everything

She was seventy years old at the time, but she got up out of her chair, walked across the room, and started beating him with her cane. ‘I was a dark skinned black woman in the 1940’s,’ she said. ‘We didn’t have any of this ‘legal stuff’ to protect us.’"

18.05.2014I learned yesterday that when you see a bee on the ground that isn’t moving, it’s not necessarily dead, it’s probably just dead tired from carrying lots of pollen and needs re-energising. So if you mix a tiny bit of water with some sugar and let it drink it will give it the boost it needs to continue on its way. Bizarrely, this exact thing happened today! I found a knackered bee, mixed up some sugar water, gave it a drink and watched it guzzle and guzzle then suddenly come back to life. It was amazing! Thank you patrick, it was an excellent tip that i’ll never forget and will continue to pass on to others!

My first impression of this was that everytime you sell yourself to technology and the masses, you lose a bit of your identity I don’t care if that’s completely wrong that’s why I love art
