Twenty-four hours before my dog’s final appointment at the vet, I sat in the garden with his head in my lap and wondered if my neighbours across the fence could hear me saying goodbye to my 15 year friend.

After saying goodbye to my dog in April, I found it very difficult to write about and around him. It’s taken two months but I feel very warm and sad to be able to remember him in this blog post. He was truly the best boy.
